Wow! The Mountain Hardware Ghost Whisperer Anorak comes in at 1.75 oz. Not bad for a wind and water resistant jacket. A must have for running and backpacking.
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS
Did I mention 1.75 oz? Very very light. If you cut the large tags off, it weighs in at 1.70 oz. The Ghost Whisperer reminds me of the old Phantom Anorak (2.90oz), but much lighter. The Ghost Whisperer is packable and is constructed of 7Dx10D ripstop nylon. Be careful in windy conditions as the Ghost Whisperer will easily fly out of your hands (like your homework papers on a windy day – it has happened to all of us). Once you slip on the Ghost Whisperer, you will notice how extremely light it feels on your body – you really can’t feel it, it is so light.
TRAIL TESTING
The Ghost Whisperer is easy to store in a pocket (shorts, handheld, vest, etc.). It keeps the chill at bay. It is not an insulate. When used for running in cold conditions, you will need to keep moving. The water repellence was good, but not designed for downpour conditions (hey, what do you expect from a jacket weighing 1.75 oz). I tested the Ghost Whisperer in conjunction with a short sleeve and long sleeve. I found the long sleeve to be more comfortable while wearing the Ghost Whisperer. Some may feel that this may be too minimal, but if you are kind to your gear, this should last you a long time. I still have my Phantom Anorak.

CONCLUSION
The Mountain Hardware Ghost Whisperer Anorak jacket is a must have piece of gear that is easily stored and extremely light. It is worth the investment. Now go out and run with the Ghost Whisperer. The only comment I have is that I wish it came in other colors.
