  • Faith — as I was listening to the podcast today where you mention Wet Wipes I thought of another tip: I use the wipes to wipe the salty sweat from various crevasses during a race in order to minimize chafing. (I tend to sweat a lot and once it dries the salt can rub my skin raw.) But a quick wipe periodically helps, plus it feels so good! I normally will get under my jog bra (under the girls), my leg creases and even my butt crack 🙂

  • LOL, love all the things talked about by and for trail runners!!! but you know, when I first started running I was looking for TMI type info and couldn’t find any, so I’m grateful.

Faith! Thank you for sharing this exciting journey with The Nation! Good luck, have fun, I’m looking forward to your race report!

  • Faith, awesome idea on the wet wipes… I want some but don’t want to carry the extra wait, so if you could leave some at Beals Point when you’re done with them, that would be fantastic.

  • Thank you guys for starting this podcast off by recognizing Caballo Blanco. Even though I never knew him personally, I’ve visited his website a lot, read Born to Run twice and found myself just amazed by how simple he lived his life.

  • Thanks to Coach Jimmy Dean Freeman’s tweet linking me to this page, I am getting so much info from this episode and I’m not even the one running! I forwarded this to my sis who will also be running her first 50-miler this weekend (the American River 50). Helping pace her towards the end, too. Thanks again for all the info!
