States is so popular because of the very thing that people get so frustrated with; it’s exclusiveness. The analogy between WS and Boston are as old as the hills, but it truly is similar. Getting to wear a bib on race day is the result of hard work and a fair degree of pure luck. I hope to race States some day, and the lure of it lies in the fact that I know getting into the race will be anything but easy.
