We became acquainted with Bill Katovsky from Dr. Mark Cucuzzella and the Sock-Doc, Dr. Steve Gangemi.  He is also good friends and advisors for previous podcast guests: Dr. Peter Larson and Phil Maffetone.  We felt he was a perfect fit for the Nation.  Duh.

Bill Katovsky joins the Nation to talk about his book, “Return to Fitness: Getting Back in Shape after Injury, Illness, or Prolonged Activity”.  Bill was an accomplished athlete through his twenties.  At age fifty and ten years of inactivity and poor diet, Bill decided it was time to regain the body and lifestyle he once loved.  This book recounts this story…..and then, like a good trail run, diverges to explore other topics

Bill is the Creative and Editorial Director of the web site we love, Natural Running Center.    His blog can be found HERE

Bill has co-authored many books including these running & fitness books:

“Tread Lightly: Form, Footwear, and the Quest for Injury-Free Running”

“1,001 Pearls of Runners’ Wisdom: Advice and Inspiration for the Open Road”

“Bike for Life: How to Ride to 100”

“Iron Heart: The True Story of How I Came Back from the Dead”

Closing Song: “Cherub Rock” by Smashing Pumpkins
